Who are we?
We are a team of UK GMC-certified doctors who collectively have years of experience managing the care and optimisation of patients both in the community and in the acute hospital setting.
Why do we do this?
We are passionate about optimising people's health. We believe individuals should be empowered to live their healthiest life. We are here to offer that guidance, objectively. Find out more here.
Why should I do a test?
In our experience as doctors, we see how common deficiencies are in the general UK population and the impact it has on their physical and mental wellbeing. People can find themselves gravitating towards quick fixes like coffee, energy drinks and random supplements, but this does nothing to help the underlying problem. Certain vitamin and mineral deficiencies have consistently shown to affect general wellbeing, therefore we believe targeting these head on is the best way for you to get optimised.
Who is Mytamin for?
Our supplementations are available to all apart from those younger than 18, as well as those currently either pregnant, breastfeeding, planning to conceive, or any combination of the above. This is because these individuals may have different specific vitamin requirements that should be discussed with their GP.
Where are we available?
Our services are available in the UK only at this time. We're working hard to expand to our friends overseas.
Are you doing any other Screens?
We're proud to launch with our Mytamin Core Screen. Although it is quite extensive, we are working very hard in the background to bring you more screens to you to give you a more detailed insight into different aspects of your health.
How do I get started?
Everything we do, we do through our specially crafted Mytamin App, to be released very soon. You can download it on the iOS App Store or the Google Play Store.
How does your pricing work?
We want to help you from start to finish. At the beginning we offer you a home test kit, a lab report and a comprehensive Mytamin Report for the starting price of £69. In that report you'll receive the Mytamin recommended supplement regime for you, we can provide these for you from £29 a month. This is a six month subscription as we recommend a retest after 6 months to monitor progress and optimise supplementation - but you can cancel anytime - no questions asked.
Can I share my results with my GP?
We encourage sharing your results with your GP if you have concerns.
If there is a scenario where we think you need further testing or where you may warrant specialist medical advice - we ourselves will recommend you visit your GP. We cannot claim to diagnose or treat any disease from blood tests alone.
Do you sell or share my data/results?
We don't sell or share any medical data. All data is secured in UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) compliant servers in London. As with all UK GDPR-compliant data, it can be deleted upon user request.
How do I order my test?
In order to get a baseline reading we offer our Mytamin Core Screen when you first test with us. First download our app when it's released, then simply enter your details, add-on any additional tests as you wish, and we'll get your kit in your hands within 3 business days.
Is the test easy to do?
Our fingerprick testing system is a proven way to get blood samples easily and quickly from the comfort of your own home. You may feel a sharp scratch but it is usually noted to be much more comfortable than a traditional blood test taken from your arm. Included in the test kit is a set of clear instructions on the process, as well as all the bits you need to carry out the test.
What if I can't get a sample?
In the rare circumstance you are struggling to get a sample, contact us and we will be more than happy to help.
Are the supplements vegan?
All of our supplements are vegetarian as standard. If you state you are vegan on signup or request vegan supplements, we will work to provide vegan alternatives for you.
Are these vitamins medication?
Our supplements are not medications. We supply supplements as an adjunct to a balanced diet. Our supplements are not meant in any way to replace a healthy diet, but merely support it.
Can't I just get these nutrients from my food?
A healthy, balanced diet is an important way for you to get the nutrients you need. As part of our Mytamin Report we will be providing you advice on your diet to help get your levels in check. However, we understand it's not always practical or feasible. We find that supplement boosting can often be a quicker and more convenient way to get yourself back on track.
Are your supplements personalised to me?
Yes, we review and analyse your results and provide you with supplements that are appropriate to your specific vitamin needs.
How should I take my supplements?
Supplements are absorbed better in the gut when taken with food, as a result we often recommend you take them with meals.
How long will it take to notice some changes?
Building up vitamin and mineral levels unfortunately is not an overnight process. We usually advise a retest of your levels after 6 months to see the changes in bloodwork. In regards to how you feel yourself, it depends on person to person. Some people notice changes in a matter of weeks!
Do I have to subscribe to get my supplements?
Supplements take time to show changes in your bloodwork, as a result we do ask our customers to use our vitamins for 6 months before a retest.
What long will everything take?
We aim to get our kits to your door within 3 business days after your order. As soon as you send them back, they are taken to the lab within 24 hours of pickup.
Most of our blood tests are processed within 1 week, but some of our specialised add-on blood tests take up to 3 weeks to process. We label which add-on tests have a longer processing time on our app.
If ordered, our supplements are usually dispatched the next working day, and will be with you within 3 business days.
As our test kits are medical devices, they are single use only, and unfortunately cannot be returned once dispatched. If you change your mind before we dispatch the kit, we are more than happy to refund you fully.
However, if the kit has been dispatched and you wish to cancel, we can only do a partial refund. This means we will refund you all of our lab costs and the Mytamin Report, but not the kit charge, as our kits cannot be returned.
Similarly, we cannot accept refunds on our supplements once dispatched. However you can cancel your subscription at any time for the following month.
